Promoting Literacy Across Uganda
Rotary District 9213 has launched a nationwide campaign to revive the reading culture among Ugandans. In response to declining reading habits attributed to modern technology and lack of parental encouragement, Rotary clubs are visiting schools to donate books and educate students on the importance of reading. The campaign includes constructing school libraries and supporting other literacy-enhancing initiatives.
