Safe Water. Healthy Communities. Brighter Futures
Access to clean, safe water is a basic human right, yet millions of people around the world—especially in remote and impoverished regions—are forced to rely on contaminated or distant water sources. At Realm of Hope International, we believe that no child or family should have to drink dirty water, suffer preventable illnesses, or walk for hours to find a clean source. Our Clean Water Initiative brings life-saving water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH)
solutions to vulnerable communities—because where clean water flows, so does
hope.

Program Components
1. Water Well Drilling and Boreholes
We install deep wells and boreholes in rural villages and schools where water access is
most limited. Each well is: Drilled using safe, sustainable, and community-appropriate technology. Equipped with hand pumps or solar-powered pumps to ensure long-term
usability.
“Every well we install is a source of life for an entire community.”
2. Water Purification Systems
In areas with water sources that are polluted or chemically unsafe, we: Install community filtration systems that remove bacteria, viruses, and contaminants. Distribute household water purification kits for families to treat water at home.
“Clean water is the first step toward health, dignity, and economic
productivity.”
3. Sanitation Facilities
To ensure water access goes hand-in-hand with hygiene and disease prevention, we: Construct safe latrines and handwashing stations in schools, clinics, and
community centers. Promote open defecation-free (ODF) practices through education and
enforcement.
“Sanitation saves lives—and keeps kids, especially girls, in school.”
Goals for the Clean Water Initiative
Provide reliable access to safe drinking water in remote, high-need
communities.
✓ Reduce the spread of waterborne diseases like cholera, typhoid, and dysentery.
✓ Improve school attendance, especially among girls, by addressing water and
sanitation needs.
✓ Foster community responsibility and sustainability in managing water
infrastructure.
