About Us

Healing Communities from Within

HOPE LINE ACTION is a Ugandan women led non-government organization established in response to rising exclusive farming, mental issues, famine, environmental degradation, domestic violence and gender inequality. We believe education is power, community empowerment through health education, skilling and environmental sensitization is key for sustainable development.

These unsolved problems have deprived women and girls their rights in decision making, education & empowerment, eroding rights their proper livelihoods. Hopeline therefore exists to collaborate as communities and sensitize the benefits of educating a girl child, empowered women, mental wellness, organic farming, environmental preservation and harmonious families.

Our Core Principles

Our Mission

To restore hope and mental well-being for vulnerable individuals (women and girls) through psychological support, education and economic empowerment for sustainable development.

Our Vision

A world where every woman and girl is mentally well, empowered, and able to live with dignity, purpose and hope.

Overall Goal

To create supportive environments that promote mental wellbeing and build resilience among vulnerable populations especially girls and women to achieve long-term social justice, economic stability, and sustainable management of their environment.

Core Values

Compassion, integrity, empowerment, and resilience drive everything we do. We believe in the strength of communities and the transformative power of hope, dignity, and sustained human connection.

How We Started

A journey rooted in soil, shaped by community, and driven by the unwavering strength of women.

Early 2025

Seeds of Purpose

Atukunda Fortunate begins over two decades of organic farming as a teenager in Uganda — cultivating not just crops, but a deep belief that food security is a mandate to every family as a goal of United Nations (SDG2).

2025

Witnessing the Crisis

Watching communities fracture under early pregnancies, domestic violence, malnutrition, and poverty, Fortunate sees a widening gap that synthetic farming and communicable diseases have created — particularly for women.

2025

The Call to Act

Pursuing public administration, Fortunate formalises her advocacy — linking environmental degradation, food insecurity, communicable diseases, and gender inequality as interconnected crises demanding one unified response.

2025

Hopeline Is Born

Hopeline Action Uganda is officially founded — a movement dedicated to psychosocial support, organic farming revival, and community empowerment all in a preserved environment, with women and girls(SDG5) at its heart.

2026

Growing the Movement

Expanding programmes in organic farming advocacy, mentorship for young girls and women, skilling and health education to the communities — reaching households across Uganda.

Today

Empowered Women. Stronger Communities.

Hopeline continues to empower, sensitize, educate and mentor communities — because we believe in good health for everyone(SDG3) and a preserved environment.
