On Friday, October 3, 2025, CEDOVIP and Wakiso High Court held their first Circuit Co-ordination Committee meeting at the court in Wakiso. The meeting was led by Lady Justice Sarah Langa Siu, Head of the Wakiso High Court Circuit, and brought together key justice partners.
Who Attended:
- Judicial Officers – working to improve justice services
- Uganda Police Force – ensuring law and order
- Uganda Prisons Service – supporting rehabilitation
- Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions – handling prosecutions
- Probation and Welfare Services – helping with rehabilitation and care
- District Leaders – offering local government perspectives
- Legal Aid Clinic – providing legal help to those in need
- Regional Justice for Children – promoting children’s rights
Main Highlights:
The meeting focused on teamwork among justice agencies to better support women and children. All participants agreed to work together to build a fairer and more inclusive justice system.
